WALC 2020 Conference – Wednesday evening activities!

Hello everyone!

The conference is just around the corner! Can’t wait to see you all and our fantastic speakers 🙂

If you will be in town on Wednesday evening, please consider joining us in the Ground Round from 7-8:15 for a chance to catch up and network!

Jenny DeDecker has agreed to host a wind down/bedtime yoga class from 8:30-9:15. Suggested donations of $5 are encouraged.

Our 2020 WALC Conference is completely booked on both days.  So sorry to all of those who missed registering in time.  Watch for our 2021 brochure and online information in late December.

2020 WALC Conference and Hotel

The 2020 WALC Conference is quickly filling up and the hotel is completely booked!  We have reserved another block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn in Oshkosh for Thursday, March 5th at $89/night.

USLCA Group Renewal Information

Amazing that it is almost December…again!

Our annual renewals are coming due. Current memberships end 12/31/19. You are able to get $10 off an individual membership fee by signing up with the WALC group renewal. The code to get the discount is walc2020

In order for the discount field to appear, members will need to be sure to their membership type is set to Group. The discount field will not appear if a membership is set to Individual.

WALC is seeking nominations for President! My 4 year term is up and we are seeking someone that wants to be involved! Are you interested in taking part in YOUR Association? Have you been thinking about being involved but not sure how? This is your chance!

The deadline for nominations is November 15, 2019.

Please see the description of duties below. Attendance at quarterly Board and General Meetings is required. We have 4 meetings a year in September, November, January and May. Two meetings are overnight (usually September and May) when we have a larger agenda. I will help through the first year and share the work.

Stephanie Gyldenvand is a community health strategist at Winnebago County Health Department. Social support and connectedness through data collection and analysis, community building, and collective action is a focus of Stephanie’s work. Allison Laverty Montag is President of WALC,  a Lactation Consultant and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for  Women, Infant and Children (WIC) at Winnebago County Health Department.
