Those of us on the Leadership Team of the Mothers’ Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes invite all members of WALC to join us for the Long Grove IL Heritage Run and Walk on Saturday, September 10 at 8:30 am.
Personally, I will be doing the 3K walk (just under 2 miles) but some of my friends who are runners will be participating in the 5K run (just over 3 miles), which is chip timed and USATF certified. Water and aid stations are provided. Our setting will be rolling country roads on a late summer morning. We expect the breastfeeding community in Illinois and Wisconsin to come out in full force to raise money for the start-up fund for the milk bank. Walkers can wear their babies or push strollers.
